In celebration of the 10 years since Yohji Yamamoto partnered with Y-3, Y-3 have been screening the documentary Yohji Yamamoto: This Is My Dream across the world. Detailing Mr Yamomoto’s attraction to the fashion world (interestingly, he confesses he is not interested in fashion in the documentary, but rather finds pleasure in creating clothes and working with patterns and shapes), the documentary offers a glimpse of the Japanese designers life as the cameras follow him around in the run up to one of his sensational New York Fashion Week shows. A must have for any fashion or Yamamoto fanatic, a DVD of the short film is available to buy now from Yohji Yamamoto boutiques and Y-3 stores.
